Hand and Footprint Rudolph

Last weeks crafts were so much fun. On Tuesday we made a King "K" which I forgot to photograph. Thursday we traced everyone's hands and one foot to create reindeer. The kids loved making these and so did I!

Just a reminder that this is the last week of preschool until January 4th. Since we had 10 classes in September, we are only a few classes shy of the usual amount and a tuition reduction was given to account for the missing week. Thanks for being so flexible so my kids can spend time with rarely seen cousins!

Thanksgiving Fun

Tuesday we used water paints and created beautiful cornucopias. Thursday we made turkey feather head bands. We are continuing to work on our scissor skills, patterns (ABAB and AABAAB patterns) and we also talked about the letter I this week.

See you Tuesday and then we'll have another day off to celebrate Thanksgiving!

H is for Horse

Sorry about the wacky formatting on the blog. I can't seem to get it quite right, and this is my 5th blog!

Today we learned about the letter H. The horses we made solicited more happiness than just about any other craft we've done. They didn't want to put them down once we made them!

Costume Party

We had a very fun day last Thursday at our class costume party. We were too busy playing and learning to take very many pictures.

Things we have been working on in class lately include:

ABAB patterns (pre-math skills)
The letters F and G
Days of the week
and as always...
Sharing. That one is so hard.

Class pictures coming soon!

Picture Day

Today was picture day and everyone looked their best! Our day was a little different then usual to accommodate the photography that took place and I forgot to send home homework folders. So enjoy your weekend with no worksheets to complete. Jenna said the pictures will be edited and ready in 1-2 weeks so we'll look forward to seeing everyone's famous smiles soon. Our class shot will be fun to see, it was a bit tricky getting 5 two year olds to stand still.

Have a great weekend!

Spiders

Today we talked about spiders. It was a fun day that ended with this activity. (I fed everyone bananas first to try to avoid tummy aches!)

Don't forget that Thursday is PICTURE DAY! If you'd like a CD with 3 individual shots and a class portrait, please bring $15 (checks made payable to Jenna Jameson). Even if you're not ordering, come dressed to impress!

Make-Up Monday

We had a great time today in our make up class. Thanks again to the parents for being flexible when life gets crazy at my house. We started the day by practicing our cutting skills. Then after our usual lesson time, we read a book called "The Crayon Box that Talked" . This story was about a box of crayons that did not get along, but learned that when they worked together they made beautiful pictures. We made our own blended crayons by breaking up old crayons and melting them into pretty multi-colored crayons. While the crayons baked and cooled, we had outside learning time and practiced playing t-ball. It was such a fun morning!

Girls Day

Aaron went on a trip with his family, so our class was all girls today!

Today we read the Selfish Crocodile and talked about being good friends. Everyone brought their favorite snack and we mixed them all in a big bowl to create a friendship trail mix. Every time we added a new ingredient, we talked about whose favorite it was and how nice it was that they were sharing it with us. I added my ingredient last, chocolate chips. Once the trail mix was tossed together and divvied up, Corinne fished out several chocolate chips to give back to me since they were my favorite. The other girls followed suit, and before long I had an abundance of chocolate chips on my plate. These girls are so sweet!
